My system didn’t use any indicators – just simple charts with nothing on them. I had my rules for the system and applied them to the chart I was watching. I knew the rules inside-out and back-to-front.
The only thing that never changed was:

Whenever I introduced some new “indicator” or “fancy” technology to the system as I developed it – the system always took a step back.
But then I’d see very simple things in the markets as I watched and tested them and I’d think, “how can that improve the system?… it’s too simple!”…
